Error reported when using insf

Some of my HP-UX 11.11 boxes (rp3440 and rp4440) are showing the following error when usign insf to create device files for any type of device:

# insf -eH 0/6/1/0.2.0
insf: Unable to load the driver: krm
insf: Unable to load the driver: drmfgl
insf: Unable to load the driver: drmfglrx
insf: Unable to load the driver: gvid_him_cons
insf: Installing special files for stape instance 0 address 0/6/1/0.2.0
insf: Unable to unload the driver: krm
insf: Unable to unload the driver: drmfgl
insf: Unable to unload the driver: drmfglrx
insf: Unable to unload the driver: gvid_him_cons

Anyway, device files are eventually created.

Re: Error reported when using insf

Hi,
have you had a look in your /etc/rc.log file for any warnings?

I would guess that those drivers are not loaded in your kernel, most likely because you don't need them and therefore have not included them. I would say you can safely ignore the error.
