Error while installing C++ Compiler PHSS_29655

Dear All,

I am trying to install the C++ compiler for our server. The technical name for the compiler is PHSS_29655.

At the analysis phase it gives me the following error and aborts:

specification, fileset "PHSS_29655.ACXX,r=1.0" will be

excluded.

NOTE: The patch fileset "PHSS_29655.ACXX-HELP,r=1.0" may only be

installed upon a previously installed base fileset. The

specification for this base fileset is

"ACXX.ACXX-HELP,fr=C.05.50,v=HP". Since there is no fileset

on the target or selected from the source which matches this

specification, fileset "PHSS_29655.ACXX-HELP,r=1.0" will be

excluded.

Executing preDSA command.

Summary of Analysis Phase:

2 of 2 filesets will be Skipped.

The Analysis Phase succeeded.

Please advise what to do in this situation? and how to resolve this problem.

PS: I am installing this patch on HP-UX 11.23, IA64 bit platform.

No actually you are trying to install a patch for the aC++ compiler. And as the product isnt installed, the patch will not install.

The product you want is ether B3911DB og B3913DB. Depending on wether is is for a workstation or a server.

Yasir,

PHSS_29655 is nbot aC++ (Ansi C++)compiler. It is a patch for aC++ .


You have to install base product before installing this patch and i believe this is a price product from HP.
