error--

i am geting the follwoing error ..when i say java -version

/usr/lib/dld.sl: Call to mmap() failed - TEXT /opt/java1.3/bin/../jre/lib/PA_RIS
C2.0/server/libjvm.sl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Not enough space

any clues ????

Hi,

It looks like you have insufficient memory on your system. How much is your swap? You probably need to increase your swap.

Show us your swapinfo output:

# swapinfo -mt

This clearly shows that U are running less swapspace.

#swapinfo

See the current status. Wait till it reduces, then U run Java and see.

Check with swapinfo -mt
You may be running out of swap space.

Hi,
It also could be due to :

1: out of shared memory
2: memory leak causing one of the above.

You may want to check and reconfiure the swap space and/or shared memory settings shmmax.
