Escape Sequences Print at top of page on ORACLE report

When I tried to set up a printer that is directly connected to a PC instead of the printer connected to a jet direct card, the escape sequences from the ORACLE drivers get printed out. What do I need to do to get it to understand the escape sequences in the ORACLE driver?

The printer was set up on UNIX as a remote printer using the PC's IP address. I am using an HP laserjet III but I get the same problem with other printers that I have tried.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Does this fault occur when printing to a jetdirect connected printer?

Remember that by sending to the pc's ip address then the pc is handling the print job before sending it to the connected printer.

How is this printer connected to the pc?

Paula,

I do not have the prolem when I connect to a jet direct. The problem happens when I connect the printer to the parrellel port on the computer. The computer is then connected to the network.
The problem happens using hp880, hplaserjetIIp, and hplaserjetIII. These are all the printers I've tried.
