/etc/services

I intend on adding a port into the /etc/services file, does anyone know if I need to restart any processes for the change to take place?

many thanks

Re: /etc/services

Shalom,

It is best to make your addition to /etc/services while the new service is not running.

You need not worry about any other services during this change.
