vxfs fsadm: /dev/vgXX/lvolX is not the root inode of a vxfs file sytem

Hi,

I am trying to increase in online one lvol, but when I do:

# fsadm -b 115605504 /dev/vgMXX/lvolX

I have this error:

vxfs fsadm: /dev/vgXX/lvolX is not the root inode of a vxfs file sytem

What could I do?

Thanks a lot of.

Carmen,

Specify the mount point rather than the device file.

Carme
it follows all steps of extender lvol with jfs online .
lvextend -L xxxx /dev/vgMxxx/lvolXXXX
fsadm -b xxxxx /mount_point
