EVA 3000 in HPUX 11.23
I have a EVA3000 with 4 virtual disks, These disks are configured in rx5670 (Itanium 2) like 4 vg (vg04, vg05, vg06 and vg07) all was ok until I reboot all hardware.
Now, The HPUX doesn´t boot ok. the prompt in console is "bcheckrc", fsck can´t fix the problem. with "mount -a" there are errors like "no such device or address", but I do a ioscan and the four disks are there.
EVA 3000 have errors 28082 and 28011.
If I do "vgchange -a y" the result is the same.
Any idea?
J

Re: EVA 3000 in HPUX 11.23
You have to make sure the disk array is up and running before the kernel boot on the rx5670 server.
Thats how to avoid the problem.
I'm assuming you have a certified setup fiber cards and such.
If the array is slow in booting you may need to have a process that looks like this:
shutdown the server
shutdown the array
bring up the array
bring up the server

Re: EVA 3000 in HPUX 11.23
Hi
I see where is the problem... I think.
In /etc/lvmtab are VG that I dont have before last reboot, and are associated to the devices of good vg.
I dont remember how recreate lvmtab....
Did you remember?
Thanks
Jorge
