Ever compile wxGTK?

Has anyone ever successfully compiled wxGTK on HP-UX 11.00? I'm trying version 2.3.2, but it keeps telling me that I don't have a new enough (>= 1.2.1) version of GTK installed even though I have 1.2.10 from the porting archive. I have my paths all set right too?

Anybody have any luck with this package?
