Evolve Tour

Just returned from the HP Evolve tour in Baltimore. Very, very nice. Lot os key learnings. I would recommend attending the next one. I experienced some good networking with other folks. Someone told me that Oracle will not support a data base on network attached storage. They also said that depending on the size of the Db, it may not run at all. Problem is associated with blocks vs NAS. I was just getting ready to install a test DB on a NAS as an emergency bail out. Has anyone alse heard about this problem?

Thanks,
Bob Menefee

Re: Evolve Tour

Best thing would be to log a call with Oracle and confirm whether it's a unfounded incorrect rumour or true.

(Our Oracle database sit's on our SAN, although I wasn't here when it was spec'ed, I'll bet we've got Oracle's blessing for it).
