executable stack workaround for 10.20

Came across this doc for 11i on preventing stack buffer overflow with executable_stack kernel parameter.

Since that parameter doesn't exist for 10.20 is there a workaround?

Besides upgrading to 11.00 or 11.11(11i)?

Put in the latest patches and hope it doesn't happen.
