Expired In Transmit

Hello experts,

Recently i have faced this at my server ,
when ping my virtual ip (172.16.1.26) i have this type of error "expired in transmit"
Experts please help on this.

Hi Moorthi,

This show the replay from the destination was too late. The TTL will get expire incase if crosses the limit.

since you got the error "Expired In Transmit ".

check for the configuration and try ping again.

Pretty much means the connection was never made.

The ping program tried to find that IP address but could not.

Why?

Network hardware.
Network configuration
netstat -rn (lets see the gateway)
