Hi,

For extend the FS /, i need single user ? don´t have JFS on line

No, not single-user. You need Ignite's make_tape_recovery.

Because of the root file system's requirement that it be contiguous, you can't just extend it (unless you happen to have free PEs immediately after it - which you don't). So, the only way to extend it is to restore from a an Ignite backup and resize the root file systems during the process.

Without onlinejfs you will have to do this offline.

Best way is with ignite. Basically, take image of server, then restore that image - but make changes to file system sizes once at the ignite recovery screen...

Good answers, but have you confirmed that you really need to increase /? Have you made sure you haven't got a large text file in /dev? Have you made sure you haven't got an application writing to / that should be writing to a dedicated filesystem?
