#swlist -l product|grep OnlineJFS
check that you have OnlineJFS license
#vxlicrep or vxlicense -p

Re: Extend LV
PE Size (Mbytes) 16
Total PE 8636
Alloc PE 7176
Free PE 1460
So, expandable size = Free PE * PE Size
= 1460 * 16
= 23360 MB

Re: Extend LV
in that case you need to extend the file system offline.
unmount the file system then extendfs.

Re: Extend LV
Just some friendly advice here. Don't use SAM unless you have too. Sam (just like most other gui's) can have adverse effects and perform some operation you didn't intend, it can also be VERY misleading on amounts of space available, especially when using utilizing a SAN. So, that being said:
A. umount /dev/vgxx/lvolx
(unmounts filesystem)
B. lvextend â L
C. extendfs â F vxfs/hfs(/etc/fstab) â o largefiles
D. mount â a
(-a option is for ALL filesystems)
I have attached a simple "cheat sheet" I liek to use
