extendfs error
My server is D-230 and the O.S. is HP-UX 10.20
I put disks in the jamaica that have high capacity.
When i extend my lvol is ok, but when
i execute extenfs, give me a message:
vxfs fsck: file system needs checking
vxfs fsck: cannot extend aggregate
vxfs extendfs: Invocation of the fsck program terminated abnormally.
The file system is marked bad. Run full fsck manually.
(e.g. fsck -F vxfs /dev/vg02/rlvol1).
and i run fsck -F vxfs /dev/vg02/rlvol1
but not succesfully.
The part of the output the lvdisplay:
9991 /dev/dsk/c1t13d0 1311 current
9992 /dev/dsk/c1t13d0 1312 current

9995 /dev/dsk/c1t13d0 1315 current
9996 /dev/dsk/c1t13d0 1316 current

Re: extendfs error
Should have been:
pvcreate /dev/rdsk/
vgextend /dev/vg02 /dev/dsk/
lvextend -L
extendfs -F vxfs /dev/vg02/rlvol1
NOTE - the use of rdsk and dsk device files...

Re: extendfs error
Post the commands executed earlier. Is file system mounting normally without extending?

Re: extendfs error
i do not see anymore logical extents in vg02, so i guess u r trying to add a new disk to the vg02 which first u first vgextend:
# pvcreate -f
# vgextend /dev/vg02
u may then begin to extend the logical volume.
# lvextend -l
# umount /dev/vg02/lvol1
# extendfs /dev/vg02/rlvol1
# mount /dev/vg02/lvol1
also, please remember to assign points:
