Good morning!
Is there a chance to use a Sony SDT-9000 tape device attached to an A-Class system (A180C)?
Currently its only recognized as an DDS2 (??) unit, offering 4GB storage, instead of 12GB.
Thanks for your time!

Re: External tape unit attached to A-Class system - Sony SDT-9000 DDS3
Hi there,
Thanks for your reply!!
Sorry to bother you, but what does I have to do (I'm not an *nix guy, but our former *nix admin has been gone, and there's no replacement for him ...)?
As far as I understand the document I have to ensure that the tape is set to HP-C1533A compatible mode - ok, that'd be done.
But how does I "upgrade/change/whatever" the HP-UX driver for it?
Currently it uses stape.
Within the Device File list I can only see AT&T & Berkeley definitions .....
btw: if someone is looking for the Sony website regarding tape devises ... you won't get it via the main Sony website, but Google found it: http://sony.storagesupport.com/dds/index.htm
Thanks in advance!
