extract files from iso image created with mkisofs
I have created an iso image with 'mkisofs' (delivered with the Ignite-UX bundle on HP-UX 11.11 and/or HP-UX 11.23). Now I would like to extract a file or files from that iso image WITHOUT having to burn the image to a CD or DVD, and then 'cp' the files from the mounted CD/DVD to a filesystem.
I have not found any utility or procedure to extract files from an existing iso image in HP-UX. All I can do is view the iso file with 'isoinfo'.
Any ideas?

Re: extract files from iso image created with mkisofs
Hi there,
You can mount the ISO image and then can treat it as actual CD and perform copy operation. More info about mounting can be found at:

Best Luck.

Will it remain a personal, if I broadcast it here!

Re: extract files from iso image created with mkisofs
Shalom,
iso files I extract on Linux.
mount -o loop file.iso /mnt/image
Then I can access it. This option does not work on HP-UX
If its really an iso image you should be able to extract it on a Linux box.
