Re: facing problem while taking ignite backup

It's always the same

0/4/1/0/4/0: Device at device id 0x610ee4 has disappeared

0/4/1/0/4/0: Device at device id 0x610ee4 is back

disappeared, is back, disappeared again and again.

You need to check what this is and why it is disappearing.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Thanks for the response

Yes I agreed with you but I cannot understand why some of the partition is showing I/O error whether there is a hint of damage of the disk or some defragmantation of the disk need to be done. Please suggest me.

Re: facing problem while taking ignite backup

Hmm ok.. lets analyse this in detail now that we have a clean install.

->Can we find out which process is getting killed due to page I/O error.

Probabaly run ignite backup on one terminal and run "ps -ef|grep -i ignite" on another terminal and append o/p to a file.

Analyse the file and find out matching PID.
