Re: FAIL in HP-UX Start-up?
Start the diagnosis starting from having a look at the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log and /etc/rc.log

Re: FAIL in HP-UX Start-up?
Then check the output you get on syslog and the console, and see if you get any info on the errors.
Start CIM cimserver subsystem FAIL *
/sbin/init.d/cim_server stop|start
Initialize Instant Capacity FAIL *
/sbin/init.d/icod stop | start

Re: FAIL in HP-UX Start-up?
[root@rxprinte:cmcluster/iprocess]# cat /etc/inittab | grep -i icap
icap:23456:respawn:/usr/lbin/icapd # Instant Capacity daemon
If you don't have it edit the inittab, add it, and do a #init q

Re: FAIL in HP-UX Start-up?
Your upgrade-ux process has failed as it often does.
Your system is probably not usable. You will need to either restore the backup you made before you started or do a cold install of 11.23 followed by new application software install.
