failed to access my tape
Hi ,
Can anyone help for following issues :
I failed to access my tape.
# mt -f /dev/rmt/3m status
Drive: HP DAT160
Format:
Status: [0]
File: 0
Block: 0

Hi,
could you please explain better your problem? Did you try to write on the tape by something like tar or fbackup?
If so please report the output.

mt status output kinds looks like the tape drive may be empty.

Hi,
Finally I identify my problem. It was the incompativity of DAT drive on the system. The DAT 160 USB is not supported by HPUX 11i v2 or v3.
