fbackup and ACL
We are using fbackup. After mounting a filesystem from a remote NAS-server and adding this to the fbackup-graph, I get the following message for all files on the server:
fbackup(1205): Cannot get ACL information for file: /home/snap1/test.pdf ; optional entries are not backed up.
I found the option -A to use with fbackup, but this would mean that no ACL's are backed up at all, even for the local filesystems.
Any way to handle this situation?

Re: fbackup and ACL
Hi,
Is fbackup running as root?
Is there still a problem with the ACL if you run fbackup on the remote machine?

Is that a haiku? I never could get the hang of writing those things.

Re: fbackup and ACL
Yes, fbackup runs as root. The NAS-server is mounted by NFS. The NAS-server itself is a black box that supports various protocols to access it's disks. So there is no way to run fbackup on the NAS-server itself and I guess that the NAS-server does not have ACL's on it's filesystem at all.
I would like to see a possibility to back up ACL's on the server that runs fbackup but to exclude them on the NFS-mounted filesystem from the NAS-server.
