fbackup of symbolic links

How does fbackup handle symbolic links? Does it back it up simply as a pointer or does it follow the link and backup the file it is pointing to?

Appreciate the help
Paul

Re: fbackup of symbolic links

Hi Paul,

Depends on whether you use -s on the fbackup command line.

If you do use -s THEN the file is backed up.

If you don't only the link is backed up.

HTH,
Jeff

Re: fbackup of symbolic links

If you wish to include the symbolic link object in your backup, you must include the '-s' option to your command.
