Re: fbackup

Hi Mehmood,

This is not an error but a warning.

These files were open during backups and hence this message.

Also these files has not been backed up.

Re: fbackup

These are not errors as such but warnings. The files are not backed up as they are open. No sense in backing up files that can change during the backup as the would make the corrupt. Seems you need to sop your databse before starting the backup. and starting it afterwards.
If you are using other tools to back up your database you could exclude the files from the (f)backup.

Re: fbackup

In graph file under /var/adm/fbackupfiles it is already mentioned that oracle database is excluded.

Re: fbackup

The files in /DB/CMS_B/DB/CMS_A/oracle9 is excluded. These files are in /DB/CMS_B.
My guess is that the files existed when fbackup made the list of files to back up. And where not there when it came around to process them.
As for you graph file, does '/DB/CMS_B/DB/CMS_A/oracle9' exixst? (No typos, upper/lower case).

Re: fbackup

Is it me or should there be a space between -i/-e so that it reads -i/ -e?

Could be fbackup is confused and thinks that the -e is part of the include?

Just wondering....

Good luck
