Re: fbackup
If you want to use fbackup and both drives at the same time, you will need to use separate fbackup commands in a divide-and-conquer approach.

Re: fbackup
I should also add that you really ought to look into a commercial backup product like OmniBack so that the operations like loading the tape drives are all done automatically for you. You can, of course, script all of this but OB2 is much easier and 'point-and-click' restores are hard to beat.

Re: fbackup
I presume that you want an unattended backup and that it will span two tapes.
If this is the case, have a look at the man pages for 'fbackup'. In the configuration file ('-c) is an optional entry "chgvol". The value of this argument is the name of an executable script for changing tape volumes.
Technical Knowledge Base (TKB) document #DKKBRC00006969 has one such example script for autoloaders. TKB document #KBRC00001392 gives another, genearlized sample.
Regards!

Re: fbackup
By using fbackup you cant perform this operation on both the drives simultaneously.
You can buy Omniback for using both the drives.
