FC Tachion a5158a with a hub

when i connect HP A500 using A5158A to a switch with disks and a target mode processor, the ioscan presents all devices (the processor is unclaimed, but its ok)
when i'm replacing the switch with a hub, the device list does'nt contain the processor.
my FINISAR reports that the HBA doesn't respond to LOGIN from the processor. any ideas on how to configure my HBA / driver behavior?
