I need some feedback about using the FC60 solution. What I understand is that this product is a FC-AL to SCSI bridge. Can be configured to perform diferent levels of RAID over SCSI discs attached to a SC10 storage.
Wath I'am trying to figure out is if there is any drawback on the conversion form FC-AL to SCSI, what abot the performance?

Re: FC60 storage
Have you looked at HPs page on the FC60. There is some good information available there.
Here is the link:

Solution
The FC-AL bridge is really the SureStore Bridge
model A3308A that does nothing but that..
convert FC to SCSI.
The FC60 is a real disk array, just like the FC30. The FC60 itself is the collection of
controllers and BBU. It is true that the disks
and connected enclosures are SC10s, but their
dipswitches are configured to tell them they're used in array mode.
You may want to think of the FC60 like an FC30
clariion array which has SCSI disks, but we don't think
of the Storage Processors in these as a FC to SCSI converter even though that's what they do, we think of them more as RAID controllers.
The FC60 is exactly the same except replacing an internal bus problem does not necessarily mean
downtime on the FC60 seeing as it's modular.
If you want to get an FC-SCSI converter for LVD
there is a new product out, the ForeRunner, but
mainly only used for backup Libraries.
