fcachedaemon utlizing 100% of CPU during backups
Using data protector to backup single CPU guests, fcachedaemon starts consuming more and more CPU % until it eventually hits 100% bottlenecking the system from doing anything else. Eventually the system becomes unresponsive to any commands or login attempts.
If the backup is aborted it goes back down to under 1%. The issue persists on guests with more than one cpu however backups are able to complete since fcachedaemon is only hogging one of the CPU's.
I was hopeful when I read through this past thread
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/System-Administration/fcachedaemon-started-using-100-CPU/m-p/4663610#M381251
But updating the system with the last vm cumulative patch did not help.
