Features of Trusted Mode
I'm fairly new with HP-UX and got a question:
Does a document exist out there where I get a list of all the features that Trusted Mode enables for more security on my HP-UX machines?
Can't find a comprehensive list on the internet :(
Help is much appreciated.
many thanks
Erich

Re: Features of Trusted Mode
thanks for the quick response
I've seen these 2 documents, but that is not what I want I'm looking for.
I'd like to find out a list that contains info like this:
accounts can be suspended on a configurable date YES
accounts can be set to resume on a configurable date YES
accounts can be configured to deny any outbound network connectivity YES /NO?
Password Controls:
enforcement of mixed case characters, numeric and control characters YES
prevention of repeating characters YES
prevention of use of account name NO
Something like this...
Does it exist out there?
thanks again!

Re: Features of Trusted Mode
Here's a white paper that covers some of your points:
http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/operating/infolibrary/whitepapers/sec9906.pdf
There is some help in SAM under the "Auditing and Security" area which may help, along with some of the following man pages:
ttys(4), prpwd(4), authcap(4), default(4), devassign(4).
regards,
Darren.
