Fiber Channel Received a interrupt from the adaptor indicator
Hi,
I am facing a problem in our HP cr4610 itanium server.
Initialy it was connected to some machine through optical cable.
Now it is connected to network through normal network cable.
Now it is giving following error from booting phase to the console login window continously .
"Fiber Channel Received a interrupt from the adaptor indicator
Laser fault which is a linke failure .
Frame Manager Status Register : 0X050000"
Once OS is up it wont show these errors.
I think due to Fiber Channel adapter it is giving these errors.
How can I disable resolve error ?
Is there any NVRAM parameter to be changed for this ?
Can any one throw some light on this ?
Thanks
Shashikiran

Re: Fiber Channel Received a interrupt from the adaptor indicator
You may have a hardware defect or World Wide Name conflict.
fcsmutil /dev/td0
There are several diagnostic commands in the man for fcmsutil that may be useful.
also:
dmesg
or
tail -f /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
