fibre card not installed

Hi

I have a problem in the sense that a few days ago I have lost the ability to add new drives (Tape) to my backup devices. (It does not see the serial No. When doing an IOSCAN I don't see any output. I checked and rechecked. Logged into SAM and found that my Fabric (Fibre card) was not installed. The card has been working fine for a few years. Checked the light in the fibre card and the lead and all seems OK.
Now, How do I reinstall my card without doing an IOSCAN?

PLEASE HELP. I've run out of options.

Regards

Re: fibre card not installed

Shalom Andre,

I think your card may be kind of well....dead.

ioscan doesn't install anything anyway and is safe to use on a running system.

Check mstm cstm xstm and run a hardware check of the fiber card if present. If the card is absent or is shown broken, replace the fiber card.

Check and post fcsmutil on the fiber card for further guidance.
