fibre card problem
Hi
Can anybody tell me how to change protocol of fibre channel card?I have just now installed one fibre card on my system and in fcmsutil it is showing it as private_loop but my switch is configured in fabric loop can anybodt help me in this regard.

The card settings cannot be changed - it simply detects whatever the port on the switch is advertising - the switch shouldn't be in and sort of loop configuration...
What sort of card is in the server - are you sure it isn't an old FCAL only card?

fabric loop is a no-such-thing, as far as I know.
You can try taking the adapter off- and online using fcmsutil, as long as You're not having any accesses to SAN-bound disks.
Other than that:
Any errors Your adapter driver knows of are in STM's logtool utility and diagnosis with fc-login problems should start there.
(xstm -> run -> logtool -> select current log (lala.log.cur) -> view formatted log)
