File and directories access auditing for HPUX 11i

Hi All,

Does anymore can advice me on any file and directories access auditing tools on HPUX 11i?
We have decided not to go with Trusted Mode due to various reasons.
And I am not sure if Tripwire is free for HPUX. Is there any another open source or free tool similar to tripwire?

Tripwire is not a free tool for HP-UX.

I know of source code ported to HP-UX floating around, buth they are far from current.

I recently did a tripwire installation on HP-UX. It took about half an hour to install and half an hour to initialize the databases and set up a cron job to do a daily audit.

The cost was very affordable.

I am just little curious what is the ballpark of price ranger when you mean â The cost was very affordableâ . Could you give me a little idea what is cost for 1 â 5 license? Is it in hundreds, thousands or above five thousands?

Apart from Tripwire, you can also set up auditing on the host. Here you will define the events to be audited.

man audsys, audevent and accounting commands.
