File Manager SLOW after Upgrade

Good Day - My customer upgraded his J6750 from hP-UX 11.0 to 11.i. and now is complaining that his "File Manager" is extremly slow.
He says it does not display all the files imediately. The indicator, bottom left, shows the number of files, but they are not shown as Icons. If he leaves it overnight all the icons appear !!!!!

Any suggestions ?

Hi Brian,

Could you check the hostname and ip-address.

# nslookup hostname_J6750
# nslookup ip_J6750

both commands should have the same output.

and please check if you have the latest CDE patches installed.

dtfile takes a long time to display directories with large number of files and directories with large files.

Hi Robert-Jan,

Thank you for the prompt response.

The Network is fine Name and IP Match.

We are downloading the Patch and will apply it soonest. But from the description it looks like it will do the job.
