File "/cdrom/catalog/SOE/SOE.2/INFO": No such file or directory

I'm repeatedly getting the below errors when updating from 11.0 (firmware 43.43) to 11.11 on n4000 machine:

ERROR: File "/cdrom/catalog/SOE/SOE.2/INFO": No such file or directory (2). Cannot copy it tofile "/var/tmp/BAAa15286/catalog/SOE/SOE.2/INFO".

ERROR:File "/var/tmp/BAAa15286/catalog/SOE/SOE.2/INFO" does not exist.

So, following the notes in the MANUAL, http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-0662/apbs05.html, I'm trying to apply the following patches (in a bundle)

PHKL_26450
PHKL_28060 &
PHCO_26449

and I'm getting the following error for all the 3 patches:

ERROR: The patch fileset "PHKL_26450.CORE-KRN,r=1.0" may only be installed upon a previously installed base fileset. The specification for this base fileset is "OS-Core.CORE-KRN,l=/,r=B.11.00". Since fileset "OS-Core.CORE-KRN,l=/,r=B.11.00" is not an "installed" or "configured" state fileset, "PHKL_26450.CORE-KRN,r=1.0" will be excluded.

What does this mean? What patches am I missing? I thought I covered everything. Please help!

run the check_patches utility and check the state of the core-os fileset.

# swlist -l fileset -a state| grep CORE-KRN

is it configured ?

# check_patches

error messages ?

The first swlist -l fileset shows:

OS-Core.CORE-KRN corrupt
OS-Core.CORE-KRN corrupt

check_patches output:
RESULT: Problems found, review /tmp/check_patches.report

And /tmp/check_ptches.report shows:

ERROR: Patch fileset PHKL_13431.CORE2-KRN object module,
/usr/conf/lib/libhp-ux.a(bzero.o), cksum values do not match:
Expected cksum: 2854251824 2768
Actual cksum: 4294967295 0
This patch should be reinstalled using the
swinstall(1M) option '-x reinstall=true'.

for about 390 lines (with different patch filesets) or so.

Could it be because the 11i update failed in the middle?
