I mounted a cd and most of the files are
file;1 How do I get rid of the ;1

Depending on the CD, can use the -o cdcase option to the mount command.

Try mount -o cdcase first.

If that does not clear your problem, then you may need to use pfs_mount. There are several threads in teh archives that discuss how to start and troubleshoot pfs_mounts.

You may need to do a PFS mount of the CDROM. See this thread for some details:
