Filesystem increases..

Hi friends,

i have one filesystem name as ..

/var/opt/sw/perf .this file system is increases to 92% . i want to remove some of the files. i have seen there are four big files inside /var/opt/sw/perf/datafiles starting with logappl, logdev, logproc, loglob.

Is there any way to reduce the filesystem?

mridul,

there are many files you can reduce the /var

you mentioned about /var/opt/sw/perf/datafiles,

for all log* files, you can remove them provided you do not need to analyse the performance data.

before you remove log*, make sure you run

#mwa stop
#rm log*
#mwa start

Re: Filesystem increases..

removing log* files will cause , loosing all performance data history. perhaps you should look at thread

Re: Filesystem increases..

The datafiles for Glance/MWA can be moved to a different filesystem and replaced with a link.

i.e.
-mwa stop all
cd /var/opt/perf/
-mv datafiles /mynew/filesystem
-ln -s /mynew/filesystem /var/opt/perf/datafiles
-mwa start all

Also: The size of the MWA files can be controlled in /var/opt/perf/parms config file
