Finding license information on HP-UX

My question is, how do you find out information on all of licenses for all of the products installed on an HP-UX 11i system?
I am a long time OpenVMS admin, and I do not
know if HP-UX has a equivalent function to OpenVMS's license management. Thanks for any info.

HP uses codewords for it's Application Software and these are stored in the /var/adm/sw/.codewords file. The only problem is that reading the file doesn't tell you which codeword goes with which product. You would have to file the orginal hardcopy codeword form in order to have that information available.

If you mean HP products - that's a tough one.

Prior to the new OE's (Operating Environments), you can look at the codewords in:

/var/adm/sw/.codewords

Then match up the cd's, and see what products they are for.

The only way I know is via paper - that is, you need your certificates from HP stating what you are entitled for.

Your friendly neighbourhood HP account rep should be able to provide you with a list.
