finding the cdrom entry on an itanium server

how is the cdrom listed or found on a itanium server?. on the regular systems a iosacan will find it

I'm guessing you're running 11.31? If you look at the output from "ioscan -fnCdisk", you will see an entry with an extremely strange looking device file name, something like /dev/dsk/blah_bleh_blue_bleeb_and_so_forth. I mean it, it's really that long. That's the device file for your cd/dvd. I just made a link to it so I wouldn't have to type all that everytime I wanted to mount or unmount.
