Re: Firefox 2.0.0.12 and Patch?
You need to install the same path because it also having few dependencies.

PHSS_37517 has the following dependencies:
PHKL_29243
Dependencies (excludes those listed above because they were explicitly added):
PHKL_29243

Re: Firefox 2.0.0.12 and Patch?
I install the two patches, but the error is the same :-(
The system is missing the patch PHSS_30970 and so on....
a "swlist -l product" tells me that patch (PHSS_30970) is not in the list :-( but the PHSS_37517 is in the list
what is wrong there?

You need to report to Firefox their installation process has problems.

Nothing is wrong except firefox. You don't see PHSS_30970 because it has been superseded by PHSS_37517. firefox is suppose to be smart enough to figure this out.
If you have installed both linker patches, use swremove to remove PHSS_37517:
# swremove PHSS_37517
Try running firefox
If that fails, try reinstalling firefox. And try running it.
Then try putting back PHSS_37517, that may fool it.

Re: Firefox 2.0.0.12 and Patch?
http://www.hp.com/go/firefox
There is a gtk toolkit required that you probably missed installing.
For some reason the depot for HP-UX at one point did not have proper requirement checking.
if not that look for corrupt installs.
