Flash Player support for HP-UX

Hi, Does anyone know if there is an updated version of flash player for HP-UX?
The latest I know of is version 6. Since oracle and so many other companies have updated the flash products using the old version is getting errors example is with oracle's matalink site. everthing will not display and you can't download the patches if the buttons are not there :-)

IMHO you need to ask the different vendors for such products ...

it would appear that adobe on supports a limited number of OSes (later versions of Windows, some linux, and some MacOS)with HP-UX is no longer on the list.

what usually happens in these cases is you wind up running a windows box to do the access / download and then go from there.

No, and there is no newer acrobat reader either :-(

I have tried a few times to make HP-UX into a desktop operating system.

It is possible. The Acrobat reader is old but good enough. There is a flash download available, and gtk and java are sufficient.

I've tried and failed to compile open office and believe with enough work it can be done.

As a desktop OS, HP-UX is not the way to go. For browsing the Internet, it should be possible to get things working.

We have Google Documents at least.. I do use HP-UX as a desktop OS ;-)

Thank you, for your comments. I have asked Adobe, but I didn't get a reply. It look like I'll have to download load the file to my Linux workstation then sftp them to the HP server for installation.

WHAT file? The flash player? what makes you think the version for Linux will run on HPUX (assuming thats what you intend to try)??????

Oldschool you miss understood what I meant.
I meant I had downloaded the HP-UX version of flash player to my workstation and then later sftp the file to the servers that I needed to install it on. I KNOW you can not use a Linux version on HP-UX.
