flexlm license three server redundancy
Hi all,
We are using flexlm lmgrd, lmutil to manage our CAD licenses.
I tried to setup three server redunancy. In what order should we start up the lmgrd in the three nodes? It seems like the order is related to which node you want the master node to be.
Another question is, I can only see application daemon running in the master node and other two nodes just got connected to the master node.
Thanks for the clarification.
Jane

Re: flexlm license three server redundancy
usually the 1st entry is the master node, lmstat you can see all daemon status on each node.

Re: flexlm license three server redundancy
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I started lmgrd in the first node and surprisingly, the vendor application daemon did not get started and when I started lmgrd in the second node, I saw both lmgrd and vendor daemon running and in the log file, this second one is the master node.
