format error using DVD +rw

hello

please help me~!

i can't use format command. just i can write.

i don't know what happened.

i used it for the first time. so

i replaced DVD, but not working


the following below :

[u3:nmsap:/nms/temip/dccf/log/EMS]#/usr/local/bin/dvd+rw-format /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0
* DVD?W format utility by , version 4.8.
* 4.7GB DVD+RW media detected.
* formatting |:-[ FORMAT UNIT failed with SK=3h/ASC=0Ch/ACQ=80h]: I/O error
[u3:nmsap:/nms/temip/dccf/log/EMS]#

sounds like a faulty drive. how long have you had it? can you possibly return it?
If U need a helping hand, U will find one at the end of your arm
