fpupdater - security bulletin - utility times out!

After reading security bulletin HPSBUX02641 SSRT100412 rev.1 ( https://www13.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en&docId=emr_na-c02729756 )
I downloaded the "fpupdater" program and am attempting to update my various JRE's on HP-UX 11.23.

It keeps timing out:

FPUpdater
java.home: /opt/java1.4/jre
java.vendor: Hewlett-Packard Co.
java.version: 1.4.2.07
os.name: HP-UX
Verification test available
Verification test beginning, this should take less than one minute..
Verification test failed; timed out

I think i'm doing what the instructions say, has anyone gotten this to work!

This is caused by the bug. The fpupdater is testing for the presence of the vulnerability. If the test detects the bug, it times out. The documentation is due for an overhaul. The test option should be run after the fpupdater fixes the problem.
