SolutionOf course you can,if the O/S are both the HP-UX! If the directory structure is not completely the same, you can use "-X" option to recover the data to a temp directory then use "cp -p" to the actual directory.
With "-N" option you can only make a view of the file lists in the fbackup tape!

For normal files, fbackups will work system to system. For database files, only if the database was cold when the backup was taken.
For system or OS cloning, the tool to use is Ignite.
