frecover not an fbackup volume; unable to read volume header
I have a problem with fbackup/frecover without using tapes.
Sometimes fbackup/frecover exits with undermentioned message:
fbackup(1004): session begins on Wed Sep 17 01:30:01 2008
fbackup(3024): writing volume 1 to the output file -
frecover(5418): not an fbackup volume; unable to read volume header
frecover(5414): abort selected
fbackup(9999): Broken pipe
fbackup(3004): writer aborting
fbackup(1002): Backup did not complete : Reader or Writer process exit
This is the script i am using.
CSBU_COMMAND="remsh remotehost -l admin (rm -r /usr1/tmpdata 2>/dev/null;\
mkdir /usr1/tmpdata;\
cd /usr1/tmpdata;\
/etc/frecover -xX -f -)"
/etc/fbackup -f - -0 -u \
-I /csbackupdir/repl.FULL.data.idx \
-g /csbackupdir/repl.FULL.data.sel \
-d /csbackupdir/repl.day \
| $CSBU_COMMAND
Most of the times (runs daily) there is not a problem, but sometimes is fails ... ?
Is there a workaround or patch for this problem.
I use fbackup/frecover instead of rcp to exclude some directory's.
Regards.
