Re: FRECOVER OPTIONS
I trust that you actually did this for your backup:
fbackup -v -i /dbindex/AGG -f - |compress > /dbindex/AGG.Z
To recover the data, you can use zcat which uncompress and sends the output to stdout.
zcat /dbindex/AGG.Z | frecover -f -
Note "-" following -f of both fbackup and frecover.
fbackup -v -i /dbindex/AGG -f - |compress > /dbindex/AGG.Z
To recover the data, you can use zcat which uncompress and sends the output to stdout.
zcat /dbindex/AGG.Z | frecover -f -
Note "-" following -f of both fbackup and frecover.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: FRECOVER OPTIONS
Make sure you put a "-x" in your frecover command.
zcat /dbindex/AGG.Z | frecover -x -f -
-Sri
zcat /dbindex/AGG.Z | frecover -x -f -
-Sri
You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try
