frecover
I have HP10 and have a file testdev.fb
I need to do a frecover. I do not mind if I extract the whole file, unless some one knows how to extract just a specific file within a certain directory. I just need help understanding all the paremeters with this command. Is there an easy command line to just extract the whole file?
Please help!!
Thanks,
Phil

Re: frecover
I think I for got to mention that I do not have any DDS tape or the like. It is backed up just to a file. How would I go about doing that becaues it looks like it wants a media device to restore from.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: frecover
Consider:
# fbackup -f /var/tmp/fb_archive -i /tmp
# frecover -f /var/tmp/fb_archive -xo -i /tmp/mything
That is, backup all of the '/tmp' directory to '/var/tmp/fb_archive'. Then restore only the '/tmp/mything' file.
Regards!

Re: frecover
I think I got SAM to do it. It was able to recongnize itself as a remote location and seems to be undoing it. It is a big archive so it will take a while.
Thanks, for the help!!!
