FREE ADVICE: HP-UX SWA with Windows Domain Authentication
Hello,
I was teaching HP-UX at a large hospital
recently. As part of the labs, I wanted to show
them the benefits of Software Assistant (SWA).
Normally, /etc/opt/swa/swa.conf contains
these extra lines:
ftp_proxy=http://proxyuser:proxypass@192.168.1.53:8080
https_proxy=http://proxyuser:proxypass@192.168.1.53:8080
http_proxy=http://proxyuser:proxypass@192.168.1.53:8080
Or, if the web proxy does not require logins:
ftp_proxy=http://192.168.1.53:8080
https_proxy=http://192.168.1.53:8080
http_proxy=http://192.168.1.53:8080
In this example, 192.168.1.53 is the web proxy
server, 8080 is the proxy port.
But what about the case when web proxy insist
on asking for domain too? Here is the solution:
ftp_proxy=http://"windomain\proxyuser:proxypass"@192.168.1.53:8080
https_proxy=http://"windomain\proxyuser:proxypass"@192.168.1.53:8080
http_proxy=http://"windomain\proxyuser:proxypass"@192.168.1.53:8080
Cheers,
VK2COT
