fsadm largefiles option doubt?

Hi All ,

I am extending a filesystem , that is having largefiles flag set already.

1. # lvextend -L8096 /dev/vg03/lvol1
2. # fsadm -F vxfs -b 8290304 /oracle/data1
3. # fsadm -F vxfs -o largefiles /oracle/data1

The question ,is do I need to use , step#3 , as I have already having largefiles enabled , for this filesystem.

Thanks ,
R.veri.

Re: fsadm largefiles option doubt?

No step 3, the filesystem is already largefiles.

Once largefiles is set, you don't need to re-do it again...

Re: fsadm largefiles option doubt?

Step #3 is not required, if u already set it while creating the filesystem , by newfs or mkfs , with largefiles option.

Cheers.
