fsck: file system is larger than device ????

# fsadm -o largefiles /dev/vgcache4/rtst028
vxfs fsadm: file system dirty, run fsck first
# fsck /dev/vgcache4/tst028
file system is larger than device
vxfs fsck: cannot initialize aggregate
file system check failure, aborting ...

What causes this and how can I fix it ?
