fsck: WARNING: V-3-20836: file system had I/O error(s) on meta-data.
I have an issue with mounting a FS on HP-UX 11.23 ITANIUM server.Any help would be appreciated ... Thanks
# fsck -F vxfs /dev/vg05/rlvol1
UX:vxfs fsck: WARNING: V-3-20836: file system had I/O error(s) on meta-data.
log replay in progress
log replay failed to clean file system
file system is not clean, full fsck required
full file system check required, exiting ...
So I ran fsck with full cleanup , still same issue
# fsck -F vxfs -y -o full /dev/vg05/rlvol1
au 623 emap incorrect - fix? (ynq)y
au 623 summary incorrect - fix? (ynq)y
au 624 emap incorrect - fix? (ynq)y
au 624 summary incorrect - fix? (ynq)y
fileset 999 iau 0 summary incorrect - fix? (ynq)y
free block count incorrect 47008219 expected 46731987 fix? (ynq)y
free extent vector incorrect fix? (ynq)y
OK to clear log? (ynq)y
flush fileset headers? (ynq)y
set state to CLEAN? (ynq)y
Still same issue , There is important data on the file system , Is there a way to recover the FS .... Thanks
swlist |grep -i veritas

I only found matches on the Symantec site for this specific error: V-3-20836.
Those are the two links pointing to possible solutions depneding on the software you might be running on the system:
